Children were introduced to western art movements of modern times to understand, appreciate, and most importantly, to enjoy art. Through painting, sculpture, video and music, young artists were immersed into the lives and works of the Great Masters.
Leonardo da Vinci Study
Children created their own geometric structures based on the geometric forms Leonardo da Vinci illustrated for Luca Pacioli's book The Divine Proportion.
Henri Matisse Study
The cut out collages of Henri Matisse were studied and reproduced by students to form a collective art piece.
Henri Matisse Study
Students painted brightly colored artworks demonstrating their understanding of Henri Matisse's use of bold patterns found in many of his still life paintings.
