As an experienced International Art Educator and Communication Designer with over a decade of expertise, I specialize in art and design education, combining a passion for teaching with creative vision to inspire and empower students and clients alike. Currently, I teach middle and high school students at UWC South East Asia in Singapore, where I merge artistic excellence with practical application, helping students discover their unique artistic voices.
Originating from Karachi, Pakistan, my journey in design began at the National College of Arts School of Design in Lahore, Pakistan, where I earned my undergraduate degree. I furthered my education with a Master of Science degree from the School of Art and Design at Pratt Institute in New York City. Shortly after, I joined Pratt as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Communications Design Program, teaching master’s level courses. When family circumstances brought me to Dubai, I continued my graduate level instruction remotely for Pratt and collaborated with organizations like the American School of Dubai, The Change Initiative, and The Archive Dubai to develop innovative art education programs for primary-age students. These programs not only introduced young artists to art history and environmental issues but also encouraged creative self-expression through unique projects that gained widespread recognition across Dubai.
In addition to teaching, I have designed and implemented diverse curricula, blending traditional and contemporary methodologies to engage students and equip them with practical, conceptual, and creative skills that extend beyond the classroom. My background in communication design further enhances my ability to deliver innovative solutions in both educational and professional contexts.
Now residing in Singapore, I continue to welcome opportunities for educational instruction and design collaborations, driven by my dedication to fostering creativity and inspiring lifelong learning.
